  • Our Contract

    On September 13, 2023 the SMBSD Board of Education voted 5-0 to ratify the 2023-26 contract. That, along with our members' almost unanimous vote to ratify, completes the process.

    The new contract goes into effect immediately and it can be found here

  • New Member Classroom Setup Grant

    As a new educator, thank you for joining your local SMEEA chapter, CTA and NEA. As a Union, we advocate on behalf of public education, our students, working conditions and much more.

    Thank you to both our other candidates, Marisa Philley and James Dahmen, for being willing to serve in this position.

    Also thanks to our CTA representatives, Jonathan Beyea and Hollie Funkhouser, for accepting this important responsibility.

    As write-in candidate for CTA Representative #2, receiving the most votes, Marisa Philley will serve as an Alternate CTA Rep. Thank you, Marisa!
